Advertiser's Checklist So, you're interested in advertising with Real Life? Excellent! Here are the steps you're going to want to take to ensure that your campaign goes smoothly.
Determine how many banner impressions (or days, for a tower ad) you're interested in buying. Keep in mind - impressions means just that - it's the number of time your ad is loaded and viewed by a person. Impressions do not have a specific timespan they run for - depending on a variety of factors, 100,000 impressions could last most of a day, most of a week, or most of a month. I can give an estimate as to the amount of time an ad will be in the system, based on how many other ads are currently running, but the amount of time a banner runs for is largely irrelevant - it's all about the number of times it's SEEN that counts.
Now that you've got that figured out, send an e-mail to advertising with your company or organization information, the number of impressions (for banner ads) or days (for tower ads) you're interested in, as well as a sample of the banner you'd like to use, if you have one already made. (or, let us know if you want us to design your ad). Keep in mind - a single campaign can contain multiple banners - we actually find this to be the most effective way of advertising - multiple banners keeps people from getting disinterested with a single ad for a product.
After we recieve your e-mail, we will generate a contract for your ad campaign. It will contain all the necessary information regarding the campaign, and a line for your signature. Print the contract out, sign it on the space indicated, and fax it to the number on the bottom. We NEED a signed contract before we can proceed with any advertising campaigns - for your protection, as well as ours.
At about the same time you send the contract, send payment for the amount indicated to our paypal address, gregdean@gmail.com.
As soon as we have your contract, payment, and banner, we will insert the banner into the system for rotation. At this time, you will recieve an e-mail with a username and password you can use to log in to the advertising system, where you can check real-time statistics on your advertising campaign. If you like, we can also configure the system to send your automated e-mails with updates on how your campaign is going, at whatever interval you would like. Then, your ad will run until it's out of impressions, and you will recieve an e-mail with your final statistics.
