I'm feeling a very severe lack of funny at the moment. I'm not going to go into details, but remember back in 2001 how my car got broken into and my checkbook was stolen? Let's just say that today I learned that the bank didn't exactly disclose to me all my options, and because of this for the past 3 years I have had to battle my way against credit agencies to restore my good credit. I've been turned down for loans, I've had trouble getting apartments, all because nobody at the bank told me that in addition to closing the checking account, i could take a few extra measures to get it marked as stolen.

I'm going to try to calm myself down. I'm alternately on the verge of violent rage and tears. I want someone to burn for this, but my gut tells me that the damage is done, and no amount of cleanup is going to undo it. If I can calm myself down and regain composure enough to do a comic, I will. If there isn't a comic up tomorrow though, this is why.

I have been informed of a few corrections to my math. One is that due to the way things go, a higher percentage of my readers would be interested in a Japanese class, thus the percentage of the class that had potential to be one of those 17 ARC readers is slightly higher. Problem is, I don't have any hard numbers to change those figures with, so we'll leave it as such for now. The other point that was made is a good one. While we can assume that the chances of me meeting one reader in class is about 3%, as you add more students to that equation, the change in probability is actually exponential. Instead of a 1% probability, we actually come out with a 0.00081% chance of meeting 4 readers in class. Those odds sound a lot more correct to me. :) So, yeah. Freaking bizarre.
