So I wanted to let you guys know that there won't be a comic today. The reason being is that we haven't fixed up Greg's computer in order for him to work on one. We have a temp computer, but its going to take alot of work to get everything set up. (Like installing CS2 among other things.) You are probably asking, why wouldn't Greg just do it on Liz's computer? Well I just happen to be in the middle of my midterms right now. Since all of my classes are online classes at the Academy, I have been spending alot of my time glued to my desk. (Which doesn't help my weight loss at all.) I just haven't had time where Greg could take over my computer for a few hours to make a comic. So don't blame Greg, blame my teachers.
On a different note, you may have noticed that some things have changed on this site. If you would scroll down and look to your right, you will see that Greg and I now have a MoBlog where we are documenting our San Francisco adventures. Greg has a ton of photos on his phone, but we haven't hooked his phone up with internet. So he has to manually update them. My phone take great daylight photos, but horrible night shots. So I haven't been taking a whole lot of pics.
Another thing to note is the fact that there are no links to the Real Life store. The reason for this is that we have parted ways with our book publisher, Starline Multimedia. We are already in the process of building a new store that will be run by Greg and myself. (I honestly don't know where we are going to keep our stock, but we'll figure it out.) We hope that this move will allow us to give you products that we wouldn't have been able to do before with the Starline store. For example, we would like to sell some more of our shirt ninja membership cards, or prints of any comic you like. We also have some new product ideas that I have been working on for months now. So rejoice and look forward to our brand-new store!
Some of you might remember that something very important happened to Greg and I this time last year. I am happy to remind you that on March 20th, Greg and I will be celebrating our one year wedding anniversary. Greg has already taken the day off of work, and we are having a very special dinner at a famous restaurant around these parts. So I wouldn't expect a comic for Tuesday, if I were you. *wink, wink.*
Also, those of you who were interested in a San Francisco Real Life Meet-up, please take note. I have been desperately trying to contact the Yerba Buena Bowling Alley to see if we can rent theirn lanes for an hour or so. I have sent nearly 6 e-mails and have left 3 voicemails. In return I have recieved 0 emails and 0 voicemails. So it looks like the San Francisco RL Meet up is being postponed until April. If I don't hear back from them by the end of this month,(I have been trying to contact them for almost a month already) then I am going take my butt down there and start yelling. I have been trying to figure out some other event places, but everything costs so much money. If you have any ideas, please drop me a line at rlsanfranciscomeet@gmail.com. I'll get it planned eventually though... even if I have to kill some people at the Yerba Buena Bowl. *growls*
Man, I have alot to talk about. Greg and I are going to be flying to New York next weekend to attend I-con 25. We are really excited because we get to be guests with such people as George Takei, Stan Sakai, and Ron Glass. We will also be among some of the great webcartoonists; Sean McGuiness from Twisted Kaiju Theater, Randy Milholland from Something Positive, Jonathan Rosenberg from Goats, and Richard Stevens from Diesel Sweeties. So far they have 150 guests slated for this convention. All of them sound like amazing people to meet! So if you are anywhere near Ronkonkoma, NY then you had better make your way to this convention, because it seems like it is going to be the coolest thing ever. I-con 25 for teh win!
If you would like your convention name to be in that little box to the right of the screen, all you have to do is ask us to attend your convention. Of course, we would need to be invited as guests because this San Francisco rent is driving Greg and I into the poor house. We would love to attend any kind of event you are having, so drop me an email. (Please only send me an email if you are in the position to actually invite us to a convention. I get several emails from people stating that they would like us to attend their convention, but they have nothing to do with the convention at all. =/ If you would like us to attend your con but aren't the guest relations person, then send some emails off to the guest relations person. I am sure they will get the hint.)
I guess I should give you a quick update on my weight-loss. I am doing really well, although I'm not losing as quickly as I would like. I weighed myself earlier in the week and I am down to 182lbs! Its not perfect, but I am happy with it. These pounds have been so hard to lose, so that must mean that they will stay off, right? Thats what I am hoping atleast. So here is my updated ticker.
I think that may be all I need to talk about. I need to get back to homework now. I promise that Greg will eventually get back to a usual schedule again, its just that life has kicked us around alot recently. It'll slow up eventually though!
