All of this time I thought we were friends with Steve Troop, Brad Guigar and David Willis, but I guess we were wrong. We actually just spent a weekend with two of them a few weeks ago and they still didn’t tell us about their nefarious plans to start Blank Label Comics. What friends don’t tell their favorite married couple about their plans to start a webcomic collective? Well certainly no friends of mine!

Joking aside, I think this is a great idea. For those of you that don’t read up on web comic news that often, those six cartoonists that left “the spot” have now gathered together to become the Captain Planet of webcomics. No, really! They all got together because each one of them has a certain business talent that the others lack. As I understand the business, it’s not supposed to be like Keenspot. It’s supposed to be more of an artistic collective or club kind of thing. Each shares their knowledge on a subject and tries to share with the other club mates. That sounds fairly interesting to me, since I’m only knowledgeable about business stuff to a certain point and I’m always asking Greg to call up our comic friends and asking for advice on stuff.

Well, I wish them luck, even though they didn’t let me in on the gossip. They should know that, as a girl, I need to know all the juicy gossip things that I can. Damn them and their tight lips!
