Hidey-ho lifers! Believe it or not, I’ve actually got a pretty significant announcement to make! As of today (well, as of a few days ago actually, but I’ve been trying to get everything in order) Real Life is now officially partnered with SplitReason to do all of our T-Shirts, as well as potentially some other stuff in the future!
See, over the past few years, after deciding to do all the merchandise myself, I came to a realization: I SUCK at doing merchandise all by myself. When we were doing T-Shirts, I wasn’t able to keep anything in stock because I never planned ahead to buy a new order, and order fulfillment was (and is) a nightmare. I’m STILL shipping out old orders because of how ill-equipped I was to handle it.
Enter SplitReason. You’ve seen their ads on the site numerous times over the years, and I’ve always been a fan of the shirts they put out – I probably own 5 or 6 SplitReason shirts in my closet right now. Anyway, a while back they approached me to do a whole t-shirt/store setup, and I initially declined, ’cause I was so gung-ho on doing it myself. Fast forward a few years, and I came to my senses. The great thing is, I can now offer not only the great old shirts everyone got a kick out of (Totally Better, Wii Gym, Ninja Xing, Fuego) but I can send them new designs every now and again, and I don’t have to do ANYTHING ELSE to make it a reality! The fine folks at SplitReason go right to work, getting everything ready and in stock, and away it goes! And best of all, they’re WIZARDS when it comes to order fulfillment, so things go out in a timely manner! Once we finish arranging the funding for Book 2 (No, it’s not a myth… we are in fact making some progress on it) I’m likely going to ship them all over to SR and have them do the order fulfillment for it. And any new products we come up with will go right to that store, never to be stashed in my garage ever again!
So in honor of the new store, we’ve got two new designs that were repeatedly requested on the forums – the Nerd Rage and Nerd Apathy shirts!
And you can also find some old favorites – some refreshed a little bit for the re-release – on the Real Life Comics SplitReason store! (Also, you can just click the “Store” button in the top menu… that’ll work too.) And while you’re there, be sure to check out the myriad of other awesome SplitReason shirts they have available!
