So, I spent all this time drawing Adama, and I did so from really close in, so I didn't have a lot of perspective on the whole thing until afterwards.
Here's the weird part - if you take Adama, as I've drawn him (directly from photo reference) and remove the grey streaks from the hair, the glasses, and the wrinkles... look what the result is:
That just goes to show how good a job BSG's casting director did. The family resemblance is actually pretty astounding.
