Today’s comic seems to have become the crux of an editorial at WoWInsider.com… I saw that and thought it was pretty cool. And to some degree, I really do kind of drive people nuts. I mean, sure – my friends pretty much all play WoW, so it’s easy to discuss the minutae of the 1s5r combo rotation allowed by the tier 4 2pc bonus, but then I’ll be running a heroic instance and my dad will call in the middle of killing a boss, and I’ll have to explain to him why I need to call him back later. Trying to explain WoW to someone who’s not really geared to get the appeal is… interesting. Though, I try.

So, this is an idea that I’ve been kicking around for YEARS. Books are awesome, and I’ve been working on Book 2, trying to get it ready. But to me, the pinnacle of achievement, as well as my favorite pieces of collectable merchandise, has to be the statuette. (Or figurine, or inaction figure if you prefer)

I’m just now in the earliest of early stages of maybe, PERHAPS looking into getting a statuette produced. It’s a lot of work, and it’s going to be nerve-racking as hell to invest so much time and money in it, but it’s one of those things that has a special appeal to me, and I’d like to get some feedback as to whether this is even something you guys would be remotely interested in. So, to do that, I’m finally making use of dumbrella hosting’s poll system. I may post some other polls about this in the future if it goes forward, but let’s start with the easy stuff. :)

Now, I’ve been toying (heh) with the thought of doing the Shirt Ninja for the first figurine. (Yes, if this is successful, you can bet your ass I’ll be making more of them) The company I’m talking to is extremely experienced in Anime figurines of extremely high quality, so it would be a very detailed statuette, cast in resin, etc. Basically, it’d look badass when it’s done.

Anyway, that’s all for now – if you could help me out with some feedback, I’d be much obliged. And feel free to send an e-mail my way if you have any other comments – I’m always glad to hear from you.

Edit: Apparently, in order to vote in the original poll I posted, you have to sign up on my rant system… which I have disabled, currently. I’ve redone the poll in a different program, and offer it below:

If a Real Life Statuette/Figurine were made available for sale, would you be interested in purchasing said item?

Heck yeah!

No, but I’d still love you anyway.

I have no strong opinion either way, but I thank you for this third option so that I can feel included.
