Panel 1
Tony: Hey, you excited to go see Dune Part 2? Dave and I are about to head out to see it - wanna come with?
Mae: Given that I haven’t seen Dune Part 1, it’s relatively unlikely.

Panel 2
Tony: What. WHAT. How?! It’s friggen’ DUNE!!
Mae: *sigh* Listen. When I was in high school, I checked out a copy of Dune from the school library because you all said it was amazing. I got about 50 pages in to it. I’ve read the ENTIRE Wheel of Time series, and those 50 pages were longer by far.

Panel 3
Mae: Then, a year or two later, the sci-fi channel did the miniseries, and all y’all had me watch it, and you all said it was amazing, and I nodded along, but it was, AT BEST…. Fine. It was fine.
Mae: So, I’ll grant that I’m PROBABLY in the wrong here since everyone else absolutely loves it, but it’s JUST not the series for me.

Panel 4
Tony: …I feel like the Baron Harkonnen must have felt when he learned that Paul was not only alive, but was the Kwisatz Haderach.
Mae: I’m looking that reference up on Wikipedia, and I swear to god I can’t even get through the SUMMARY of it.
Dave: Let’s go, Tony! I gotta get that popcorn bucket!
