You guys rule, do you know that? I want to thank everyone who has sent me birthday wishes in the past few days… there are SO MANY of them, I can’t even begin to fathom responding to each one individually. I have read all of them though, and it means the world to me. Thank you.

Nothing much went on yesterday. (thankfully) I’m kind of humble about certain things, so birthdays are always cool/embarassing for me. I’m always self-conscious when people try to make a big deal of it. :D But my mom and sister came by the office with a cake, so that went out the window. Kind of nice, really. One of the guys here at the airport came by with a box of Pepsi (he’s also a reader, coincidentally) and a bottle of Cruzan Coconut Rum. Aw yeah. :D Liz got me a custom dice pouch from one of our advertisers, Dicepouch.com, that has to be seen to be believed. I’ll take a picture of it when I get a chance. My mom took me out shopping for clothes, which might seem embarassing to some of you, but you have NO IDEA how much I needed some new threads. And I have no fashion sense, so having her and Liz there to tell me what looked good or not was invaluable. Got a ton of nice stuff out of the deal. :D And then, when I got home, it turns out just about everyone in the Shirt Ninjas linkshell sent me 23 gil. :D (And a few fairly expensive items, to boot. Garrison Tunica! Wolf Mantle +1! Centurion’s Sword! woot!) So yeah, birthdays embarrass me, but this one was fun. :)

A few things to touch on real quick: One, Dr. Devious is back up and running after the 2-month hiatus. Seems like Kris is doing much better, and Cliff’s very excited about it. Click the link to the left to head there. Second, it has come to my attention that SETI@home is changing to a new format, the BOINC client. It’s a little less overhead than the original client, and it allows for multiple projects to run at once. However, if you want to continue in the SETI@home project for the projected future, you will HAVE to switch to the new system. Use your old account (it tells you how to upgrade) so you’ll still be in the RLC team. Gotta use this opportunity to get near the top of the leaderboards, people! Head to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/ for info on how to switch over. I’ll update the RL SETI@home page once I switch to the new layout. :) That’s all for now. peopleses!
