Starting today, we’ve got a new advertiser over in the tower ad, so be sure to check them out. Full Tilt Poker is worth checking out, and for more than one reason. First off, I love poker. It’s no secret – it’s in the comic, my friends and I get together far too often to play hold ’em and steal each other’s money, and now pretty much the only game I play when I head to Reno or Tahoe is Texas Hold ’em Bonus. (best. table game. ever.) And Full Tilt is actually a sponsor of Poker After Dark, so when they approached us for advertising, we were psyched. Plus, it turns out, completely after the fact, that a buddy of mine actually works there. So we’re giving him a hand, too. :)

Frankly, I simply find it a nice change of pace from the 13-year olds on XBox Live going all in before the flop on every turn, then calling me “gay” when I fold. So be sure to visit them and check it out – you can even play for free. :D

Well, it’s finally happening. Real Life is crossing the pond, so to speak. We’ve been invited as guests to the Tonkatsu Anime Festival, happening August 3-5 at the Ampthill & Woburn District Scout Ground in Bedfordshire. It’s actually a very cool event – think Anime Festival + Camping. :) In any case, it’s my first time ever across any ocean, so it’s a very, VERY big deal to me – and honestly, it’s probably not going to be very often I’m over in Europe. So if you’re in the area, or even if you’re not – register now and come visit me there! If all goes according to plan, I might even have copies of Book 2 with me. ;) (We’ll see.)
