Panel 1
Mae: When the hell did everything become a printer?
Dave: There is a STAGGERING amount of context I am clearly not privy to.

Panel 2
Mae: Okay, so it’s just one of those “known” things that printers don’t work reliably. Nobody knows why, but we’ve accepted for decades that when you hit “print”, you’re rolling the dice.
Dave: I’ve always suspected it was due to tidal forces from the moon.

Panel 3
Mae: But now, it feels like more and more things are falling into that category. ESPECIALLY things that are billed as “Smart” - I’m trying to get this remote access feature on the TV to connect to the laptop wirelessly, and it works NO MORE THAN 50% of the time.
Mae: And there’s basically no documentation to refer to for troubleshooting, so you just kinda have to hope for the best.

Panel 4
Mae: It’s like hardware manufacturers used printers as a test case to see how much crap we’d put up with, and realized the answer was “all of it”, so they just quit trying so hard.
Daev: Yeah, but I’m still keeping my eye on the moon, though.
