Liz: I mean, sure? Why now?

Mae: Well, you know… we’re vaccinated now, and since we don’t have that to worry about, I figure now’s the time.
Liz: Oh, I totally agree - I was just wondering what spurred on the decision. You kinda came out of left field there.

Mae: Nothing in particular - I’ve actually wanted to get my ears pierced ever since I was a kid, but I just never really said anything about it. And all of a sudden I just realized “Hey! I should do that!”

Liz: I see - so these four sets of Captain Marvel earrings I see in the amazon cart have nothing to do with it then?
Mae: Total coincidence. I didn’t even know those were there. What earrings? Say, those ARE pretty! I mean, if they’re in the cart already we should just buy them, right?
