Mae: I’m gonna take that stupid little ‘90s tv nook over the fireplace into a built-in with space for our electronics.

Liz: Wow, you’re really getting into this home improvement thing. You know you don’t have to do this, right?

Mae: Look, you have to understand… any time I’m called upon to use my woodworking tools, I start looking around and seeing things I know how to do.
Mae: And the more tools I acquire, the more knowledge I possess… the more things I want to build. It’s a vicious, self-propelling cycle. You have only yourself to blame.

Liz: I will accept the burden of blame, the sting of which will be eased by awesome shelves with built-in lights!
Mae: Lights? I never mentioned…
Liz: And routed edges! Only routed edges can cover my shame!
