Liz: Oh, god… is that the BRAKES?
Mae: Yeah, I think so. Sounds like the pads are down to metal.

Liz: Greeeeaaat. Another expense we need to cough up for.
Mae: Nah, it shouldn’t be that bad. I’ll just get some new pads on the way home. I’ll take a look at the rotors and see if they need to be turned or not.

Liz: Since when do you know how to replace brakes?
Mae: Since before we even met! Like, you do realize I can fix things, right?

Liz: Okay, but like… will they be fixed PROPERLY?
Mae: They will be FIXED....enough.
Liz: I’ll call the brake shop and make an appointment.
