Panel 1
Liz: Hey Mae… is the internet down for you too?
Mae: It’s down for all of us. I disconnected the router entirely.

Panel 2
Liz: Why in the seven hells would you do that? MAMA NEEDS HER WEBS.
Mae: Because if I didn’t, then I might be tempted to spend all day in a self-destructive spiral of nervously checking the election results every five minutes, giving myself an ulcer and sending my anxiety through the roof.

Panel 3
Mae: This way, we’re like a reverse Schrodinger’s cat, where we’re the cat, the house is the box, and the election is the radioactive isotope that will kill us all! As long as we stay locked away in the house without any news from outside, the world is both okay and completely on fire at the same time!

Panel 4
Liz: I’ll just check it on my phone.
Mae: LIZ! STOP TRYING TO COLLAPSE THE WAVEFORM!
